PIT SAFETY RULES
Although adults are responsible for their own conduct, it is the car’s owner responsibility to assure that everyone in
their party is familiar with these rules. Any violations of these rules may result in the revocation of pit passes and
possible suspension of future privileges.
Racing is an inherently dangerous sport and the pits are a dangerous environment. These rules are made not to
inconvenience spectators, but to help make the pits a safer place for everyone.
1. Children 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
2. No 2 wheel vehicles allowed at any time unless specifically authorized by the track manager.
3. Operators of ATVs and golf carts must 16 years or older.
4. Speed limit is 10 mph. This includes the short shoot and leaving or entering the track before, during or after
racing conditions.
5. The area between the turn 4 pit stands and the track must be kept clear of foot traffic during race conditions
and whenever sprint cars are lining up or racing.
6. During sprint car races all spectators must remain behind the fences provided.
7. During all other races all spectators must remain behind the fences or concrete barricades provided.
8. There will be no traffic on the track surface, the track exits, or the short shoot, by other than track vehicles,
track personnel or race cars, at any time between or during races unless specifically authorized by a track official.
9. Spectators must remain clear of the fences in turns 3&4.
10. There will be no open flames in the pits. Cars must be fueled by adults and care must be taken to avoid
spilling fuel. Fuel cells must have caps installed before leaving the car’s pit area. All fuel containers must be made
for fuel delivery and must be kept closed when not in use.
11. Any car being serviced under the car must be on jack stands. Jacks must not be used as the sole source of
support for the car if anyone is under the car.
12. Proper vigilance must be observed at all times but especially when the sprint cars are being pushed off for
hot laps or races. Common sense should be used at all times but race cars, generally, have the right of way.
13. When exiting the track the following must be observed:
If pitting to the East of the turn 3 exit then you must exit at turn 2.
If pitting to the West of the turn 3 exit then you must exit at turn 3.
There will be no u-turns or turns back to the East from the turn 3 exit.
