NOTE: All cars all classes must have COWTOWN Speedway approved UNALTERED mufflers. Mufflers to be installed in
a maximum pipe of 3" with perforated installed towards the car engine.

NOTE: Mods & Sprints allowed 3 I/2" mufflers max & 3 pipe only.

JR. BOMBERS – SAME RULES AS BOMBERS, DRIVERS UNDER 16.

If you are under 16 you must run Jr. Bombers. If you are 16 and older you must run the Bomber division.

A.        General Bomber Requirements
1. Car
a. Car must be stock street type passenger car, Station wagon, El Camino or Ranchero
b. Minimum wheelbase 108"
c. No uni-body cars

2. Body
a. Cars must be strictly stock
b. No cutting on body or holes in the hood. No excessive cutting.
c. Hood may not be hulled and must be in place at all times.
d. Complete bumper-to-bumper steel unibody must be retained. e. Floorboards, and fenders must remain in car.
f. Doors and trunk must be welded or bolted shut. Trunk may not be hulled.
g. Rear fenders may be cut for tire clearance a maximum of 16" from center of rear axle.
h. All plastic and fiberglass body pieces must be removed.
i. May add steel plate minimum of 1/4" thick by 12" high outside of doors for drivers protection.
j. All glass, Chrome (except for bumpers) and interior must be removed.
k. Racing seat is allowed.
3. Weight
a. Minimum weight
3400 pounds with driver after race.
b. Any added weight must be securely bolted or welded to car.

4. Suspension
a. No modifying of the suspension is allowed
b. Suspension parts must remain absolutely stock for that make and model of car.
c. Stock unaltered spring stock strength. No heating or cutting. No after market parts.
5. Bumpers
a. Front bumpers:
see Street Stock Rules
b. May be reinforced with two braces between bumpers and the frame.
c. Braces must be welded to stock mounts to keep bumper from falling off if impacted.
d. Must have chains fastened from frame to bumper for safety.

6. Front Bumper:
see Street Stock Rules
a. One (1) single upright loop may be added between the front bumper and radiator for protection. Max 1-1/2" O.D.
material no wider than the frame horns, with a maximum height above the frame of 12". One (1) brace on each side
from loop to frame in front of core support.
b.
Bombers may use full front bumpers instead.
7. Rear Bumper
a. One (1) single upright loop may be added between the rear bumper and the trunk for protection. Max 1-1/2" O.D.
material no wider than the frame horns, with a max. height above the frame of 8". One (1) brace on each side from
the loop to frame with a max length of 8" measured from the back of the loop to the back of the brace.

B.        General Drive Train
1. Engine
a. Stock engine for that make only.
b. Must be in original location.
c. Flat top pistons only maximum 362 Cu. Inch. No 202 Valves
d. No vortex heads. Stock heads only
e. No racing cams allowed
f. Hydraulic Camshaft and lifters only. No rollers
g. Stock unaltered (2) barrel Rochester carburetor on Chevrolet. All othersstock two barrel carburetor only. No
Holley on anything. Claim $50.00 and swap. Track may buy any carburetor for $100.00. Choke can be removed.
h. Cast iron (2) barrel intake only unaltered. No after market manifold. No High rise manifold
i. No adapter plates
j. No headers
k. Stock cast iron exhaust manifolds. No ram horn type exhaust manifolds l. Muffler and tail pipe may be removed
m. Header pipe may be retained.
n. Must vacuum check at a min. of 15 PSI at 800-1000 RPM

2. Transmission
a. Must have stock transmission, No Powerglide
b. No standard transmissions
c. Automatic must have stock working converter, minimum of 11"
d. Transmission cooler (if used) must be in front of radiator or under hood
e. Drive shaft must be painted white
3. Rear End
a. Stock passenger car rear end for make. May be locked.
b. No racing axle
4. Brakes
a. All cars must have O.E.M. hubs and brakes with a minimum of (2) wheel m working order. No aftermarket brake
parts.
b. Three (3) or four (4) are recommended
c. No Rear disc brakes
d. Brake test may be held through out the year.


General Requirements
1. Roll Cage
a. Steel roll cage mandatory
b. Minimum of 1-1/2" O.D. x.120 wall tubing is required.
c. Front and rear roll bars must be connected at the top.
d. Top bars must be at least 2" above drivers head.
e. Must have two (2) braces to front, cannot go through the firewall.
f. Must have two (2) braces to rear may go through firewall but must stay in trunk.
g. 108" wheel base cars must use IMCA hobby stock roll cage in seat location.

2. Driver Protection   
a. '/" steel plate on outside of door or at least three side door bars running from front upright to rear upright in each
door are required (both are recommended).
3. Wheels & Tires
a. Steel wheels only, a maximum of 8" wide with 1" lug nuts on all wheels. Oversized wheel studs recommended.
b. 70 or 75 series tires only. DOT number and series must be shown on tire.
c. No grooving or modifications allowed
d. No re-caps or racing tires allowed
4. Fuel Tank
a. Must be securely mounted in trunk
b. Trunk floor nay not be removed but must have a way of letting gas escape, such as drain holes.
c. Fuel tank must have screw on cap
d. Fuel tank must be painted white
e. Fuel cell is allowed
5. Fuel
a. Gasoline only
6. Radiator
a. Only one (1) radiator. Must be centered in front of engine in a vertical position with no body modifications.  
Aluminum Radiators are OK.
b. May add 1-1/2" angle iron from frame to the top of radiator with cross bar to fender. Must be behind core support.
7. Battery
a. Must be securely mounted and covered with sheet rubber or mounted in marine box to prevent acid spill.
b. Battery must be in good working order, capable of starting car.

8. Seat Belts
a. All cars must be equipped with an approved racing type 3" wide safety belt and 2" wide shoulder harness.
9. Car Claim

a. Car claiming another car must start the A-feature with the car and finish no more than (5) positions behind the car
being claimed and also must take the checkered flag.
b. Claim will be 500.00 cash and your car.
c. Both cars will be complete as raced. May keep only safety belts and fuel cell only.
d. If a owner refuses to sell after being claimed, then that car owner, driver and car number will be suspended for
one (1) week for the first offense and forfeit all points and monies won that night. Second offense, barred for four
weeks and forfeit all monies for the night and all points for the season.
e. Track may check complete car at anytime. Feature winner will be checked every night.
f. Engine claim of $300.00. Same claim procedures as car claim.

10. Driver Rule
a. Anyone driving over three (3) times the current season in any other class above Bomber Class may not compete in
the Bomber class.
b. Anyone finishing in the top 10 in points in any other class in the previous two seasons may not compete in the
bomber class.
c. All drivers must have a driver's suite that are made of fire resistant materials that effectively cover a drivers body.

to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern the condition of all events,
and by participants are deemed to have complied with these rules.

No express or implied warranty of safety shall result from publications of or compliance with the rules and
regulations. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and in no way a guarantee against injury or
death to a participant, spectator or official.

The race director shall be empowered to permit minor deviation from any of the specifications herein or imposed any
further restrictions that in his opinion do not alter the minimum acceptable requirements. No expressed or implied
warranty of safety shall result from such alteration of specifications. Any interpretation or deviation from these rules
is left to the discretion of the officials. Their decision is final.



JR. BOMBERS – SAME AS BOMBERS, DRIVERS 15 & UNDER
Any changes to the rules are noted in yellow below for 2008.
