November Sprint Shootout Quick Results:
11/9am, DarinShort.com. The 2nd annual November Sprint Shootout presented by City Vending at Cowtown
Speedway is now in the books and has closed out the 2008 racing season.
First time Cowtown visiter Tim Crawley of Benton Arkansas became the second winner of the event after
scorching the field on the wide open race track. The groove could best be described as anywhere
between the infield tires and the wall. Crawley was in lap traffic nearly the entire event that was slowed by
two caution flags.
WoO visiter, Tony Bruce Jr. kept pace with Crawley for much of the race and closed in late in the feature.
When asked, Tony said another five laps would have made it very interesting as his car was really taking a
liking to Cowtown high banks.
Coming home in third was the jj41.com car of Jason Johnson. After starting in 7th, Jason quickly advanced
to the third position, but had several lap cars between him and the leader at the time of the last caution.
Here are the sprint feature results from tonight’s 35 lap championship feature (NSS earnings):

Due to the large size of the sprint field, two additional cars were added to the feature race.

"Half Full Moon" Kicks Off 2nd Annual Novmeber Sprint Shootout presented by City Vending

It must have been a '1/2 full moon' as there were 6 sprints upside down during the course of the November
Sprint Shootout qualifying night event on Friday.
Locking into Saturday's championship feature were the three $1,000 qualifying feature winners of Gary
Wright (TX), Chris Morgan (KS) and Tony Bruce Jr (KS).
The second place finishers in each A feature also locked in and they are Tim Crawley (AR), Claud Estes (TX)
and Terry Gray (TN).
Finishing 3rd in A feature #1 (there was a third A feature added due to the high sprint car count, and
additional purse money was added by the speedway) was Oklahoma's Danny Wood in the #94, 4th was the
3d of TN's Rickey Hood and 5th was the 64j of Johnny Miller.
Finishing 3rd in A feature #2 was the 17w of Brad Welborn, 4th was the 41 of Jason Johnson and 5th was
the 9jr of Derek Hagar (AR). The second feature would be a tough one for the 39 of Marvin Lough as he
tangled with a lap car late in the race with both of them tumbling down the frontstetch ending his strong
run.
Finishing 3rd in A feature #3 was the 1x of NE's Don Droud Jr, 4th was JP Bailey and 5th was the 1s of Trey
Robb.
Travis Rilat (TX) definitely would receive the hard luck award for the evening after starting 9th in his heat,
getting up to second on the last lap, hopping a tire with another car and going end over end landing nose
against the fence. After making lengthy repairs, he would then get involved in a tangle in A #3 with several
other cars, including the 15 of Sam Hafertepe which got upside down in the incident.
Justin Melton (TX) also got upside down during the 3rd A feature ending his night.
The 20 car of Chad Wilson took a rough tumble down the backstretch after contact with another car in his
heat, resulting in scratching the feature start.
Over 200 cars swamped the pit area on Friday night - so many that a fence in the overflow pit had to be cut
down for more space to be made. Eventually, another dozen or so cars were pitted in the neighboring
track (KSP).
Saturday night's action begins with an autograph session from 5:30-6:15 with sam15.com and jj41.com. They
will be signing autographs, selling apparel and more. Plus you can sign up for a free drawing where one
lucky fan will leave with a life-size cutout of Sam Hafertepe Jr.
Hot laps begin promptly at 6:30 on Saturday with races at 7. There will be 4 sprint B features and a 35-lap
$5000 to win championship feature. The topless modifieds are running for $2000 to win, limited topless
modifieds $1000 to win, winged 600's $1500 to win plus the 30-car 3-wide $1000 to win EJ's Towing Street
Stock Extravaganza.
Adult tickets are $25, kids 2-5 are $2, ages 6-11 are $5, and pit passes are $25.
Any driver not racing on Friday night that shows on Saturday can tag the back of a B-feature. They must pay
the normal entry fee, and will race for normal purse. However if they do not transfer to the A, there is no 2-
day tow money awarded to them.

11/9am, DarinShort.com. The 2nd annual November Sprint Shootout presented by City Vending at Cowtown
Speedway is now in the books and has closed out the 2008 racing season.
First time Cowtown visiter Tim Crawley of Benton Arkansas became the second winner of the event after
scorching the field on the wide open race track. The groove could best be described as anywhere
between the infield tires and the wall. Crawley was in lap traffic nearly the entire event that was slowed by
two caution flags.
WoO visiter, Tony Bruce Jr. kept pace with Crawley for much of the race and closed in late in the feature.
When asked, Tony said another five laps would have made it very interesting as his car was really taking a
liking to Cowtown high banks.
Coming home in third was the jj41.com car of Jason Johnson. After starting in 7th, Jason quickly advanced
to the third position, but had several lap cars between him and the leader at the time of the last caution.

"Half Full Moon" Kicks Off 2nd Annual Novmeber Sprint Shootout presented by City Vending

It must have been a '1/2 full moon' as there were 6 sprints upside down during the course of the November
Sprint Shootout qualifying night event on Friday.
Locking into Saturday's championship feature were the three $1,000 qualifying feature winners of Gary
Wright (TX), Chris Morgan (KS) and Tony Bruce Jr (KS).
The second place finishers in each A feature also locked in and they are Tim Crawley (AR), Claud Estes (TX)
and Terry Gray (TN).
Finishing 3rd in A feature #1 (there was a third A feature added due to the high sprint car count, and
additional purse money was added by the speedway) was Oklahoma's Danny Wood in the #94, 4th was the
3d of TN's Rickey Hood and 5th was the 64j of Johnny Miller.
Finishing 3rd in A feature #2 was the 17w of Brad Welborn, 4th was the 41 of Jason Johnson and 5th was
the 9jr of Derek Hagar (AR). The second feature would be a tough one for the 39 of Marvin Lough as he
tangled with a lap car late in the race with both of them tumbling down the frontstetch ending his strong
run.
Finishing 3rd in A feature #3 was the 1x of NE's Don Droud Jr, 4th was JP Bailey and 5th was the 1s of Trey
Robb.
Travis Rilat (TX) definitely would receive the hard luck award for the evening after starting 9th in his heat,
getting up to second on the last lap, hopping a tire with another car and going end over end landing nose
against the fence. After making lengthy repairs, he would then get involved in a tangle in A #3 with several
other cars, including the 15 of Sam Hafertepe which got upside down in the incident.
Justin Melton (TX) also got upside down during the 3rd A feature ending his night.
The 20 car of Chad Wilson took a rough tumble down the backstretch after contact with another car in his
heat, resulting in scratching the feature start.
Over 200 cars swamped the pit area on Friday night - so many that a fence in the overflow pit had to be cut
down for more space to be made. Eventually, another dozen or so cars were pitted in the neighboring
track (KSP).
Saturday night's action begins with an autograph session from 5:30-6:15 with sam15.com and jj41.com. They
will be signing autographs, selling apparel and more. Plus you can sign up for a free drawing where one
lucky fan will leave with a life-size cutout of Sam Hafertepe Jr.
Hot laps begin promptly at 6:30 on Saturday with races at 7. There will be 4 sprint B features and a 35-lap
$5000 to win championship feature. The topless modifieds are running for $2000 to win, limited topless
modifieds $1000 to win, winged 600's $1500 to win plus the 30-car 3-wide $1000 to win EJ's Towing Street
Stock Extravaganza.
Adult tickets are $25, kids 2-5 are $2, ages 6-11 are $5, and pit passes are $25.
Any driver not racing on Friday night that shows on Saturday can tag the back of a B-feature. They must pay
the normal entry fee, and will race for normal purse. However if they do not transfer to the A, there is no 2-
day tow money awarded to them.
