'Bill W' Set To Announce Inaugural Cowtown Sprint Nationals

9/15/08, DarinShort.com. Driver entries are flowing in, a record total purse for the track has been posted,
avid fans are snatching up 2-passes on the track website, and the drama is starting to build for the
inaugural Cowtown Sprint Nationals. The event is set for October 10-11 at Kennedale (D/FW) Texas's
Cowtown Speedway.

And now, the popular 'Bill W' has confirmed that he will be on hand to call the sprint portion of the
Cowtown Sprint Nationals.

Monroe Iowa's, Bill Wright (AKA Bill W), has been on the media side of the sport for 12 years as a
journalist, website editor, broadcaster and announcer.  His weekly 'Knoxville News' recap can be found
on racing sites worldwide.  Bill W is one of the voices of HoseheadsRadio.com, which has broadcast all
the shows from the Knoxville Raceway as well as the Short Track Nationals in Little Rock the last several
years.

“I’ve always wanted to get to Cowtown,” says Bill.  “The Cowtown Sprint Nationals is the perfect
opportunity, and I appreciate the opportunity they’ve given me to be a part of it all.  We’ll see the best in
the 360 business on the high-banked ¼ mile!  It doesn’t get any better than that!”

Cowtown Speedway is very excited to have Bill W on hand, which will further enhance the race fan's
overall experience while at Cowtown Speedway. Joining Bill W to call the ‘Topless 100’ portion of the
weekend's events will be guest announcer Tim Looney, who is well known to the D/FW area race fans.

The Cowtown Sprint Nationals is a 2-day event, featuring many of the top sprint car drivers in the country.
It is a national point race for ASCoT, plus the final 2008 point events in the ASCS Sooner region. It is also
the first of four huge season-ending sprint car specials in the area that wrap up back at Cowtown on
November 7-8 for the November Sprint Shootout.

National tour drivers including Gary Wright, Jason Johnson, Wayne Johnson, Zach Chappell and GarryLee
Maier will be on hand. They will be joined by many more drivers from the ASCoT tour, ASCS Sooner region,
local ‘hot shoes’ plus ‘invaders’ from across the United States. Early estimates are for around 50 sprint
teams to converge on the Cowtown ¼ mile high-banks to battle it out.

The sprint cars will have two complete shows, with heat races (using the ASCS passing points system)
and feature races. Capping off Friday will be a 30-lap, 22-car feature event paying $2,000 to win and $300
to start. The top four finishers will lock into Saturday night’s 35-lap championship that pays a winner’s
share of $5,000 and down to $400 for 24th. The sprint portion of the weekend’s purse tops $40,000.

Drivers planning on competing at the Cowtown Sprint Nationals are urged to preregister at the track
website.

Advance 2-day adult grandstand passes are only available through the track website. 2-day passes are
just $35, which will save $10 off walk-up prices on race weekend. Adult general admission on race night
will be $20 for October 10, and $25 for October 11. Youth and kids ticket prices remain the same as weekly
pricing, which are $5 and $2 for each race night, and are available at the track on race night only.

For complete Cowtown Sprint Nationals event information, including event flyer, 2-day passes, track
information, driver preregistration; and more, please visit www.CowtownSpeedway.com and click the

October 2, A Couple of notes since yesterday's update:

- A lot of drivers still aren't aware of our request to pre-register. So when this update came out, we
received another 6 entries from LA, NE, TX and OK.

-So right now we have 36 confirmed sprint entries. I think you can safely expect to see 50. But my
prediction a couple of months ago is the same as it is today: 54. Yesterday, I went through the drivers that
have yet to enter, and it's easily another 15-25.

-Don't forget that next Wednesday the 2-day pass online promotion will end. The advance pass will save
$10, and it is a great bargain for a 2-day race with a $75,000 total purse.

-In addition to the topless modifieds (typically there are 40-50), the popular winged 600's will be racing for
$1,000/win as well as limited modifieds - also running topless.

But again, the sprint feature will be run before the modifieds on Saturday.

10/3 Update:

Here are the new official pre-entries in the sprint cars, as of Friday afternoon:

Mike Peters (KS), Michael Brown (TX), Aaron Reutzel (TX), JP Bailey (OK), Charlie Brown (TX), Brad
Welborn (TX), John Ricketts (TX) and Terry Monroe (LA) have also entered.

We're right at 40 presently, and still on track for a solid 50+ car sprint field.

And looking at the current weather forecast: all systems are GO for the Cowtown Sprint Nationals, with
high's in the 80's with 10-20% chance precip each day.

Reminders:

-The last day to save $10 on race tickets is Wednesday, Oct 8.
-Don't miss Fan Fest from 3:30-4:45pm on Saturday before the race.

Advance confirmed Cowtown Sprint Nationals entries, as of 10/7/08: (note that there are several drivers
that will choose to enter when they arrive at the track:
